Very cool! I have 8 ducks and I always have wondered how the see the world. They are easy to pick up and put to bed at night, when the sun sets and it gets dark, they come to the back porch. I reckon they feel safe with the light on. Bless em. Silly boogers.

it seems stupid to me to make waterfoul hunters use steel shot but still continue to use plastic wadding in the shells instead of cardboard disks....plastic contamination in water is a serious issue...waterfowl eat the bits of plastic and clog up and die it happens a lot..also fish eat it and it winds up inside bald eagles and kills them...its a chain of plastic death

You can tell by their wings too... There's a white line over the blue and if the white line stops where the blue stops it's a male. And if the white line is longer than the blue, it's a female

G and H would never have found themselves in such a state had they redesigned their moulds to look like ducks instead of cartoon characters. People were saying this twenty years ago and had they done it, they would have dominated the market.

Hey delta, are these being used in areas with snakes and raccoons? My grandfather used to build birdhouses back in the day. He had a problem with predators climbing the pole to get at the eggs or baby birds. By putting a large inverted (upside down) bowl halfway up the pole, he was able to prevent many of the predators from climbing. It’s fairly low cost as it can be done with sheet tin or even plastic. I think it’s now called a “conical predator guard.”

Didn’t find this until just now. I passed on somewhere around 60 coots this year. Never again.

Wildlife agencies should encourage trapping through education and make trapping popular again. Also, creating a demand for fur to improve fur prices and utilization of the resource.

Just curious why are you not using dogproof traps as well? You can put a lot more of them out than just cage traps unless you can not run them everyday

Is it worthwhile installing Hen Houses as well or is it a waste of time and money for my flyway. Really interesting video, but different than I expected. I thought it would compare goose calls to swan calls. (That was my search.) So in that regard, it wasn't what I was looking for. Instead, though, I got a very interesting anatomy demonstration, showing why they sound very different from one another. Recommendation: Add a trigger warning for people who might be repulsed by animal dissection. It doesn't bother me, but it reminded me of when a few students had to be dismissed from 10th-grade biology because they became sick just from the idea of directing frogs and piglets. DISSECTION is informative and interesting for a curious mind, and is relevant to bird calls, but potentially not as appreciated by the "faint of heart."

How come you guys don't care about the Pacific Flyway mainly Washington Oregon California if Delta does report on the Pacific fly away it's always the last and the least amount of information

Southern zone in Missouri is on fire right now thousands of birds if you can find open water

Not part of Delta but here in mid Virginia, a lot of small water is frozen. If water is moving though there's birds sleeping on the edge and floating in the moving water. River looks good with good numbers of geese now

Thanks for posting. I want to be able to easily move the kennel from the back of my crew cab to the bed. I have the Ruffland kennel now but feel that the tie-down system and door are far inferior to Lucky and Gunner. Gunner is nice for sure but too bulky for the cab.

Too long didn't watch: duck hunting is slow everywhere in the US because weather hasnt pushed them south. Good luck public land hunters, private land lock down your honey holes

Amen Chris, its tough!! Scouted 46 miles and just a few mergs and geese. Still chipping away at the local geese and wood ducks, very few mallards. Really hoping it picks up, we have Skeet pulled the last weekend and plan to chase the Blue Bills in the afternoons. God Bless !

Ive shot quite a bit of that this season and im impressed. Of course being in Texas.....i havent shot as much as i wanted too this season, but maybe next year!
